EGU25

Last week, our partner and coordinator Delft University of Technology was represented HOPE Horizon Europe project at the European Geosciences Union (EGU) General Assembly 2025 (#EGU25). Manas Payyappalli presented his work with a dedicated poster entitled “Understanding contrail formation in the near-field of modern turbofan engines”. The activity was carried out with his coworkers Feijia Yin and Arvind Gangoli Rao to investigate with #CFD simulations the #contrails created by different generations of #aeroengines (CFM-56 vs LEAP-1A vs generic future ultra-high bypass ratio turbofan engine).
