On February 12th and 13th, the HOPE Horizon Europe project consortium met in Munich in the offices of Bauhaus Luftfahrt within the Airbus campus. The M12 GA meeting was participated by Delft University of Technology, Chalmers University of Technology, Bauhaus Luftfahrt, Ergon Research, Hit09 Srl and The Manchester Metropolitan University. The work has also benefited from the valuable contributions of Askin T. Isikveren (Safran), Adrien Cahuzac (Safran), Daniel Reckzeh (Airbus), Laurent TABERNIER (EUROCONTROL) and Daan van Dijk (Rotterdam The Hague Airport).
Being at M12, we had the possibility to show and discuss the first results of the tasks carried out in WP1 (Integrated propulsion system study), WP2 (Combustion experiments and emission analysis) and WP3 (Aeroacoustics experiments and prediction), whereas we officially kicked off the activities of WP4 (Air quality, noise and societal impact assessment).
HOPE is co-funded under the Horizon Europe topic HORIZON-CL5-2022-D5-01-12 (Towards a silent and ultra-low local air pollution aircraft) under GA n° 101096275. The support of the CINEA – European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency is gratefully acknowledged. The work is also co-funded by UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) under the UK government’s Horizon Europe funding guarantee n° 10068673.
