At the end of November, Ling Lim from Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU) participated in new events where she had the opportunity to talk about her research activities, including HOPE, highlighting aviation careers and representing the R&D/Environmental careers in aviation.
The first event was held on 25th November at the Xaverian College to introduce girls to female role models and show them interesting STEM careers. The event was attended by 64 students (14-15 years old) from various schools in the Manchester area. The second was held on 27th November at Abbott Community Primary School and was participated by students in a younger age group (9 to 11 years old).
This outreach was organised for the ‘Inspiring Aviation’ campaign, supported by the UK Department for Transport’s ‘Reach for the Sky’ programme.
